You've
been invited to a poker game, but
you don't know how to play. Or perhaps you
play, but rarely win. Or maybe you're ready for something
that gives you an advantage in tournament
poker play.
Imagine though, instead of the
anxiety that gnaws at your gut when you make up excuses
not accept that invitation to the poker game you
start hosting them yourself. You know it’s
not about the money, it’s about the pride.
You simply don’t want to be the fool. But if
you could actually obtain some Knowledge of
the Fundamentals and a Strategy
that might gain you an advantage over your big talking
friends or business associates…wow!
Most people (men in particular)
feel like there is a poker gene and
that we are born with the ability to play poker.
Therefore, if we can’t play poker, don’t
do it well or don't have a passion for it…something
is wrong. It’s like most people (mainly men)
feel we should be able to skin a deer, maneuver a
car out of skid and use a torque wrench. Sadly, without
instruction, the vast majority of us (men seriously
included) are NOT able to do any of those things with
any proficiency.
So what I humbly offer here is
a simple remedy for that noxious, swampy feeling when
we realize we can’t do something, but wish we
could. When the poker bully pushes you and you just
want to do something besides walk away. In fact, you
might even be able to kick his butt.
First, you need to know the truth:
There is no magic pill...no magic formula...and no
secret other than Knowledge. But,
with a willingness to learn, good counsel in the form
of a good poker coach, discipline and a bit
of persistence your learning curve can be much shorter.
That's what this poker training concept
is all about.
I have over 30 years of poker
experience and have put together a clinic
based on my eBook, Warrior Class Tournament
Poker™. The book applies the principles,
tactics and strategies laid out in Sun Tzu's, The
Art of War to Tournament Poker;
and so does the clinic and my poker coaching.
It doesn't make any difference whether you are a beginner
or advanced, these concepts will enhance your poker
goals.
And that is where it begins--with
what Sun Tzu called "Dao", your Moral Law
or Philosophy. We will call it your Goal or Mission.
Many simply want to avoid embarrassment in their first
tournament or home game; and that is an admirable
goal. Others desire large winnings in major tournaments.
This is also a venerable mission. It is not difficult
to see the difference in the two Philosophies, but
it doesn't matter. This is where one must begin in
any case, your Goal. Clearly envision what it is you
wish to accomplish.
If you have avoided accepting an
invitation to a business related, family or even friendly
poker game because of a lack of skill or experience.
Or perhaps if you have a modest amount of experience
and desire to advance to the next level of play without
investing large amounts of cash into a series of trial
and error tournaments. Please consider this hour long,
one-on-one poker clinic in the privacy of your own
home an option that might best benefit your situation. |
